What is Boarding School Syndrome?

Today I am offering some reflections about what is boarding school syndrome. 

I often talk about boarding school syndrome in more detailed terms but today I wanted to go back to the basics.

What is it?

And what are the ABCD of boarding school syndrome as coined by Dr Joy Schaverien?

And what about the symptoms of this syndrome? What are they?
