Episode 8 – Warm down – is not a sign of weakness
Let me clear this first, if you see a runner sitting, stretching, after a run it is not a sign of weakness it the start of the most important routine – warm down or cool down.
Warm down/cooling down in sports avoids injury and improves performance.
After running, your cardio rate will be high, heart is still beating faster than usual, your body temperature is higher than usual, and you can feel the warm blood flowing in your body.
If you stop suddenly, you could feel sick or giddiness or you can even pass out
A cool-down after physical activity gradually brings back your body to the usual state.
For running, it might be some walking, stretching, deep breaths.
