OBoy! What dang a treat, what a delight it was to record this episode with Naomi Bourassa! Naomi is an Orlando based trauma informed Yoga teacher, a Licensed Massage Therapist and Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. She and I chat about Naomi’s core three Wellness ingredients: Compassion, Patience & Listening to her body. We also talk about how we’ve been doing so far during COVID and how our support systems and social groups have evolved because of quarantine. Lastly, Naomi shares a truly AWESOME Best Break Up!

“Go in with purpose and intention”
Hey Hey hey Wellness Warriors! I am so excited to share this episode, I really really enjoyed my conversation with journalist Raquel Reichard (Latina magazine, Mitú, Remezcla). This episode was recorded in June during the beginning of the Black Lives Matter protests. We speak openly about how we’re processing everything that’s happening on the streets and how we’re showing up in the movement. We talk about how an incident in her 9th grade biology class would go on to change her life and influence her advocacy work within the Latinx community. And of course— we get into our highlights of the week and Best Break Ups!

“wait a minute…I think I might have done speed!”
Hey hey Wellness Warriors, I’m back after my lil breaky break with an episode that I had so much fun recording! I sat down with my longtime friend and Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Kelly Walker and learned all about Drugs. Okay, not all about drugs but we dip our feet in the pool of drug knowledge… from a medical standpoint. We talk about all types of drugs and what they do to the body, the importance of being honest with your healthcare professional and I ask all kinds of stupid questions because admittedly ya’ll, I’m very ignorant in this department. Also I discover that I might have taken speed when I was younger. …so yeah, it’s a fun episode!
