Hello stars. What the hell is up? I'm settling into Los Angeles and after the rainstorms from last week, which caused quite a disruption here, the sun has returned, and with it my spirit to release an episode! In today's episode, I discuss what I've been up to getting rooted in the present, while admittedly being rooted in the past. I'd argue that reflecting about the past allows us to be present and to create a bright future. What the hell is up with you? What the hell is up? It's the holidays!!! And today I'm examining staying rooted in desire. 

You'll hear an incredible cover of Santa Baby by Sug Daniels, who is a Philadelphia-based singer, songwriter, and producer. Sug released an EP called Franklin Street with Weird Sister Records in 2021, and I know you're going to be enchanted by her sweet, folksy yet enticing voice with a ukulele-driven sound in this Sug-afied version of Santa Baby. I also speak briefly about the iconic original singer of this classic Christmas song.

What the hell is up stars? I'm back with another episode! Just days before I left for Los Angeles with my sister for this grand move of mine, I snuck in one last interview with a star I'd wanted to chat with for a while. I had the sparkling opportunity to sit down with Lakewood-raised Livt, who is now a Seattle-based musician and filmmaker. In this episode, Liv and I reflect on the motivations behind her entire discography, her sources of inspiration, and the why that keeps her rooted in herself and her art-making. As a queer gal on my own journey of self-acceptance, Liv's words of wisdom landed at an opportune moment. Hello, stars! Welcome back to another episode of the pod. In today's episode, I reveal my Seattle roots while asking what the hell is up with Tacocat? I school fellow music podcaster Isabel Corp on this pop-punk feminist iconic group. Izzy hosts the podcast Sounding Out with Izzy: A Grrrl's Two Sound Cents Podcast and runs a blog where she highlights non-binary, women, and queer femme people in the music industry. Izzy invited me into a collaboration to each introduce the other to a band from our home towns. I chose the sparkly, feminist palindromic Tacocat, who carried me through shitty coming of age moments, and inspired me to dream of more.
