One of things we really struggle with when going through a break up is allowing ourselves to accept the situation we are in, we can go in to panic and not wanting to accept it is over, this can end up in expressing behaviours such as begging, bargaining, trying to convince them to take us back
But in reality this is only causing us more heartache and pain
One of the things I think you need to do in a break up is to not resist what is happening.
You need to accept and go straight in to allowing yourself to grieve – hold yourself, learn to self soothe, reassure yourself that you’ll be ok, even if it hurts right now
The quicker we accept that we have lost that person, the easier the break up process becomes.
This is where you need to reclaim your power, to take control of your healing.

Have you ever found yourself in a situation that looking back on you are like “ I would have handled that completely differently if I could go back.” All because you acted on pure emotion and let your subconscious mind take the lead?
This can happen in many situations in life but when it happens in relationships or dating it can really impact how certain situations pan out.
Looking back over my behaviours I can see where I was completely led by my subconscious mind.
This episode we delve deep in to understanding and how we can work with the subconscious mind rather than it working against.
You have power over your mind, not the other way around.

* TRIGGER WARNING / GRAPHIC DESCRIPTION OF SURGERY *
I wanted to talk to you about PTSD – as something has been coming back to me in flashbacks at the gym – It was of the day when I was younger and ended up on hospital with my first collapsed lung – my first of 8 from the ages of 15 - 31
Something I didn’t realise I had until someone brought it to my attention.
At the age of 15, I was going about my normal day, when all of a sudden, I started to get a pain in my right side, all the way down my back. I remember vividly where I was (Morrisons Car park) about to go with my dad to do the weekly shop.
I didn’t think too much of it and just carried on with my day, then later on that evening I was sick quite a few times from the pain. I put it down to a sickness bug and spent a couple of days in bed over the weekend.
When it came to the Monday morning, I could no longer lie on my right side as it was too painful.
Little did I know at the time, but my lung had collapsed on that Friday in Morrisons car park.
The book I mention is
Bessel Van Der Kolk - The Body keeps the score

Love Tash x
So I feel like I should start by saying, when I started the break up coach, it was so much more than breaking up with your ex – although predominantly that is what I cater for when I talk about break ups, I also mean break ups with toxic friendships, an old self that no longer serves you and even down to toxic family members too.
Toxic family members can feel like the hardest break up of all because ultimately, we all want to feel loved from our parents and in this, we can end up sacrificing ourselves and our own mental health to try and get this love – which also can then impact our own relationships in adult life.
I have had many conversations with clients, friends, and family on this and how we have to implement boundaries for ourselves when it comes to all relationships in our life.

As you know, I love an open share so I wanted to share this podcast to share the challenges you may come across when dating or getting into a healthy relationship after being with a narcissist
This is something that has been a constant focus for me in not only having that loving, happy relationship with myself but also having the vision in mind of having an open honest happy healthy relationship with someone else
And let me tell you – dating after a narcissist without doing any healing will probably mean that you will end up in the same cycles or attracting the same people
In order to get the relationship, you desire you have to allow yourself to become aware of your own behaviours and it also helps to become aware the traits of a narcissist
Dating without healing from a narcissist is hard – dating after a narcissist with the healing is hard but you are so much more equipped with the tools and techniques you need to get through it in a way that is serving you.

I wanted to talk about this because I have seen the impact rejection can have on people – it can literally bring out the worst in you. It can make you do things you never thought you would – ALL because you are refusing to accept rejection as a positive
You are refusing to accept that rejection is all part of the universes way of putting you on the right path
Rejection is all a part of life in which helps you discover more about yourself
Rejection in dating especially can be tough – because chances are we’ve already built a narrative in our head of the person we are dating, placed them up on this pedestal as this amazing person, before we’ve even got to know them, that when they reject you, you’re not just being rejected but you are grieving a life that is no more
You can be the most beautiful person on the planet and you will still at some point receive rejection – this is in no way a reflection of you or your worth.

Love is born in the quiet ways we reveal ourselves; how we notice and love our partners when they take on new, surprising forms.
We can sometimes spend so much time focusing on waiting for the words I love you; we forget to pay attention to the little things that actually express love.
Love can be found in everything that we do and see every day.
When we look at the reason why we are so eager to hear those words I love you it can highlight parts of us that need healing, where do we need to heal ourselves, where do we need to reassure ourselves that we are love.
At a soul level we are all love.
We can confuse love bombing with love and think that that is the normal way to express how you love someone.

This week I wanted to talk about the ways in which you can change how you perceive Ghosting.
So first of all what is ghosting – and why now is it more common than ever –
Ghosting — when someone cuts off all communication without explanation — extends to all things, it seems. Most of us think about it in the context of digital departure: a friend not responding to a text, or worse, a lover, but it happens across all social circumstances and it’s tied to the way we view the world.
Ghosting is annoying. But it’s not new, though it may seem like it. People have been disappearing on their dates and partners for decades. It’s just that now, since the onset of dating apps, dropping in and out of someone’s life is easier. And since we can meet people online, and have no other ties (unlike say, when we had mutual friends in common) it can be easier to get away with disappearing.
Here's what can happen when someone ghosts you. You like this person. You might even be thinking this could be a long-term relationship. Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, they disappear. You go from texting or seeing each other often to radio silence. Then you’re sitting there thinking: What the hell just happened?
Ghosting is basically rejection without the closure. This often happens out of nowhere and can leave you feeling confused, hurt, and even paranoid.
Listen for more on how you can change how you percieve ghosting - it's not about you, it's about them.

When we come out of a break up or even if it’s not worked out with someone when dating, we can be left feeling “not good enough” or like there is something wrong with us.
If we allow ourselves to, we can end up spiralling in to a hole of self doubt and questioning our self worth
Break ups really can bring out the worst in us, but in that, we can also find the best of us, the parts of us that have maybe been hidden away
This episode is for anyone who needs that little boost of self confidence, that little boost to say, it’s all going to be ok. That you are amazing in your own right and that another person does not define your worth.

Something I have become more aware of, not only in myself but from supporting clients too is the amount of us that are walking around with an unhealthy attachment to texts
Both in dating and in other relationships too
We can put so much emphasis on receiving a text back or we can create narratives in our heads when we don’t hear back from someone.
I believe we can change our relationship with this, just as we do with everything else
But first you have to become aware of it
You have to start asking yourself powerful questions and really checking in with YOU.
Listen to the full episode to find out more.
