Carlton vs Collingwood was the clear catalyst for conversation this morning as Gerard took your Snap Judgements for Snap Fitness.

"From what I'm told, there's rarely been an emotional reaction like it..."

Hear Gerard Whateley's call of the closing stages to Carlton vs Collingwood on AFL Nation.

Coaching legend David Parkin on the looming decision of Alastair Clarkson, Kane Cornes took aim at Carlton with one shot left to make the finals, Brenton Sanderson on what Collingwood needs to do to beat the Blues, owner Brae Sokolski has Verry Elleegant on the cusp of her international debut, and Bulldog Kirsty Lamb a week out from the beginning of the AFLW season.

Kane Cornes and David Parkin both joined Gerard on Thursday morning.

On Thursday morning, Gerard's editorial on North Melbourne and Essendon's battle for Alastair Clarkson (00:37) was followed by his weekly chat with Kane Cornes, who said there's only one choice Clarkson should make (5:21). Gerard then spoke to David Parkin ahead of Carlton's crucial clash with Collingwood (28:39), and after dissecting Brisbane vs Melbourne and Carlton vs Collingwood with Brenton Sanderson (50:30), he caught up with Western Bulldogs star Kirsty Lamb as the AFLW season draws closer (1:21:33). And lastly, he spoke to Brae Sokolski ahead of Verry Elleegant's French debut this weekend (1:26:33).

Western Bulldogs star Kirsty Lamb joined Gerard to talk about the AFLW documentary 'Fearless' and the insight it gave her into other clubs in the competition. She also touched on their preparations ahead of the historic season, what it means for the competition to be complete, and their upcoming game against GWS.

Brenton Sanderson joined Gerard in the studio for their 'Strategy 2022' session where they focussed on two games; Brisbane vs Melbourne and Carlton vs Collingwood. For Brisbane and Melbourne, Sando explained what the Lions will need to change from the last time they played the Demons, and looked at how they can shift the dominant defence of Melbourne, how they can address the midfield battle, and the mindset they'll need to adopt when Melbourne takes momentum. He then looked at the ways the Blues should attack their crucial game against the Pies, and also looked at the game from a Collingwood perspective.

Ahead of Verry Elleegant's French debut this weekend, part-owner Brae Sokolski joined Gerard to talk about his excitement ahead of the Group One race, the confidence they have in her, the field she'll be competing against, where he'll be watching the race, and more.

Ahead of Carlton's huge game against Collingwood this weekend, V/AFL coaching legend David Parkin joined Gerard to re-live the Blues' comeback win against the Magpies in the 1981 grand final, and to talk about the essence of the rivalry. He also explained why he thinks Carlton are still four-to-five players short of experiencing real success, discussed when he swapped positions with Robert Walls, and weighed in on the choices Alastair Clarkson has in front of him.
