The Coalition has dumped two big election promises, and is now saying it won't ban government workers from working from home or use forced redundancies to cut the public service by 41,000 workers. 

It comes after campaign messaging from Labor accusing 'DOGEy Dutton' of wanting to Americanise Australia.
