the idea of being in your 20s is pretty loaded, as many of us feel that during those 10 years we have to live our best life, travel, date around, have wild nights, and be our coolest selves, while also figuring out our career paths, be financially independent, and know exactly what you're doing. all of those ideas kind of contradict each other and put so much pressure on this time in your life that, in all honesty, is just a tenth of entire life. so why do we do this? why do we feel like our 20s are so much more important than our 30s or 40s etc.? we talk through all of our thoughts and feelings, how we've changed our perspectives on age as we get older and some off topic stories per usual.

apologizing is one of those things that either comes easy to you or is really hard for you to do. between the two of us, we are very different in this aspect and that sometimes creates a pretty interesting dynamic in our relationship. when it comes to apologizing to friends, we have a few personal examples to dive into and figure out whether to apologize or not. as always we got off topic for a while but it wouldn't be an ali and yon podcast without it - enjoy the episode!

it might seem pretty simple at first, but moving out, or moving away or simply moving "again" can bring on a lot of emotions. everyone has gone through it or will go through it at some point but moving out of your parent's home and starting a home of your own come with its own set of challenges. we've both experienced living on our own from a pretty young age, but then ended up moving back in with our parents when we were older, and then moved out again, so you never know where you're going to end up. we wanted to share our experiences with moving, creating a home, being in a new place, and the general process of growing up and adulting.
