Published December 2024. In this episode of "What's the Risk?" we take a look at the historic performance of the MSCI Japan Index (net div, JPY) which tracks the performance of the large and mid cap segments of the Japanese market.
Japan's stockmarket performance over an extended period was extremely poor after a very strong period in the 1980's, and it's often used as an example as why people shouldn't index, but as we explain, it's really an argument for diversification.
