First published June 2024. In this episode of "What's the Risk?" we take a look at the historic performance of the MSCI World ex Australia Index (net div., AUD) combined with the S&P/ASX 300 Index (Total Return).
Some people would know the combination of the ETFs that seeks to track the performance of these indices as the VAS/VGS split, so it's an interesting look back through the 80's, 90's and 2000's before Vanguard's ETF's were in existence.
So we go back to the inception of the portfolio in 1980 to look at the ups and downs along the way. If you're looking for long term investment strategies using these indices may be of value to you.
