In this episode, I want to talk about your programming and who is in charge of it?
So many times we fall into the space of being a victim of our circumstances, feeling like we don’t have a choice with what is happening or we are feeling this constant push of not working enough, giving ourselves criticism for taking downtime and working with our brain that is always onto the next thing. We are actually being the thief of our own peace. Comparison is the thief of joy, yet we tend to be the thief of our own peace by not calling attention to the programming that is going on in our thoughts. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Our thoughts are only part of the problem. It is our words that we speak that create the emotions that we feel inside of our bodies and these emotions keep us stuck. When we catch ourselves with our thoughts, it is creating a mantra or something in the moment to draw awareness to it, and to release it without judgment, shame or criticism. 2) Can you recognize when you are sabotaging your own peace or joy, and bring it back to the gap and the gain. Choose to stand in the gain, compare your current self to your past self and then release the expectation of the outcome. Our expectations are literally killing or stopping us from experiencing joy in our lives. This is the fruits of all of the work we are doing. 3) You are ultimately in charge of your programming, and it is owning the fact that you have years of undoing to be aware of. You will always slip back, and when self care or boundaries are at their lowest, this can be more challenging.
