Why can't we buy clothes?
On today's Dublin Talks we were contacted by a frustrated listener. The woman can't understand why the clothes sections in her local supermarkets are closed off.
Having visited her local Dunnes on Saturday to do her weekly shopping, she was left confused when she couldn't buy socks or tops for her kids.
“It makes no sense.. I’m in the shop anyway”
Many listeners agreed with her saying surely clothing is essential, especially since things like alcohol are still available to purchase. Some were quick to point out how this could affect elderly or homeless people more due to lack of online access.
Sabrina told us how she's currently pregnant and needs to buy more to wear as she grows. A number of parents also said they needed clothes for quickly growing babies.
However, we also had calls from people saying it's only six weeks and we should all make do.
