There's been a lot of controversy about salmon farming in Tasmania in the last few weeks.

The industry has been experiencing a mass die-off, and videos of hundreds of dead fish have been recorded.

Now, the federal government is rushing laws to guarantee salmon farming on Tasmania's west coast through Parliament, and the plan has the backing of the coalition too.

But not everyone agrees with protecting "stinky little fish".
