in this week's episode, Dave employs Sarah McAnulty, Ph. D, to answer the age-old question, why would you get a squid drunk? The lads compete to see who has the best swimming with sharks story and just what is the difference between tentacles and arms. Answer: you wear your watch on your left tentacle!

Yeah, sure, lots of us go to the beach to get a tan but what if the tan was less "St. Tropez" and more "Readybrek glow"?
Neil has persuaded Dr Jamie Gallagher, a brilliant science communicator and expert in the Periodic Table to tell us the story of the UK's only radioactive beach.
If that wasn't enough the lads then delve into exactly which element was used as a "family laxative" and and ask the question "is that as bad as it sounds?"
SPOILER ALERT: IT IS.

In this episode, Dave explores on-set disasters from the movies you know and love, including tyrannical directors and wild animal attacks. Neil tells a tale of a Japanese toilet in Thailand and you'll never be the same again. In Part 2, Hollywood casting agent, Aly Horn, backs up Dave's claim that a weird, 2004 indie comedy broke Netflix.

A podcast of two halves this week. Part 1 sees Neil explain to Dave just how the blood of a crab saved him from the effects of Covid 19! It's not even in as roundabout a way as you'd think.
In part 2, the lads meet barrister and Indigenous Rights activist, Maui Solomon. Maui was the chief negotiator for the Moriori Treaty Settlement and he explains how the Moriori people's pacifist society of the Chatham Islands was almost wiped out forever in the 19th century and how history had to be corrected to reflect what really happened.

On this week's episode, Dave tells Neil about the ultimate and unusual business success stories, including that time 40,000 people were sacked and were probably happy about it! In Part 2, the lads are joined by Sports Business guru, Joe Pompliano, to discuss the iconic brand that was 5 weeks from ruin before a man called Tinker saved the day. Enjoy!

We are back! Season 2 starts with a bang! Neil reckons there's an animal that can defy ageing. It's the only mammal that can truly fly and it also doesn't get cancer. The lads chat to zoologist and geneticist, Emma Teeling, about the remarkable world of bats; how they make tequila and, more importantly, why they don't get old. In a terrifying discovery, Dave reveals the outsized body part he shares with some of these creatures of the night.

To celebrate House of the Dragon streaming on NOW, the lads are bringing you a special one-off episode. They chat to economist and author Peter Antonioni, from University College London, to see just what Westeros gets right economically and just what it might lack. Spoiler alert! More banks, less knowledge-hoarding, Maesters!
Neil also explains what Matt Smith (Damon Targaryen) might be doing now if he wasn’t acting and they spend waaaaay too long answering that age old question - can dragons really fly?
Enjoy!

We've reached the end of Season 1 (or Series 1, as Neil likes to call it) and we are so grateful to you all for listening. Season/Series 2 will be with you in the autumn and we are so excited about the incredible stories we're going to share with you then.
This week, Dave is trying to terrify us all by asking Dr. Amy Mainzer, the science advisor on Netflix's Don't Look Up and one of the world's leading scientists in asteroid detection and planetary defense, what in space will kill us and when! The good news is that we should survive long enough to see Neil's appearance on Celebrity Mastermind so PHEW!
We'll also learn why Neil will never be a fighter pilot, the fastest thing humans have ever created and what exactly space smells like.
Enjoy, thanks for listening and we'll be back soon!

This week the lads meet Professor Siobhan Matteson, who works with the Mosuo people of Yunnan Province, China.
In their matrilineal society, the resources are passed down the maternal line and they traditionally had no institutionalized form of marriage.
Turns out this might be a whole lot better for everyone's health.
There's also the small matter of Dave having meltdown and calling out a physicist for a fight in a car park.
Enjoy!
