Pursuing perfection is the source of our shadow, the source of our fragmentation instead of wholeness.

The closer we move to the light, the light casts a longer shadow.

The more intensely we pursue perfection, the more likely we are to push away any parts of ourselves that don't measure up.

Healing is wholeness, so we have to let go of perfection if we want to pursue healing.

Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh, is a festival celebrated on August 1st, marking the halfway point between Summer Solstice and Fall Equinox, and the first harvest of the year in the Wheel of the Year.

Did you know? The word Lammas actually comes from the Old English "loaf mass." People baked a loaf of bread from their first harvest and brought it to the church to be blessed. This bread was believed to have healing and protective properties, so they placed it in the corners of their homes and barns for protection and blessing.
