In our second check-in this year, Insiders Danny and Andrew chatted with superstar-in-waiting Will Day.
Following the big win against the Brisbane Lions, Day was buoyant about the club’s prospects going forward while not shying away from the hard work that will be required to get there.
The chat with Will was wide-ranging and touched on topics including:
* Bouncing back from a tough start to the season to be 3-1 over the last month;
* Developing his body to be able to combat the knocks and niggles that come with playing midfield heavy minutes;
* The change in mindset that has allowed the young Hawks to start second halves strongly compared to earlier this season;
* The developing chemistry of the playing group;
* Exciting youngsters and reliable experienced leaders;
* Will’s development and what else he needs to work on, including Will’s fancy footwork;
* The issue of tackling technique and how players navigate it;
* What he’s doing during the break;
* and much more.
We will be checking back in with Will in six weeks or so, but for now sit back and relax as you enjoy the passion and love he has for the club and his team mates.
