In this episode, I am grateful to have a great discussion with Marco Perazzo. Who is the owner and head instructor at New Jersey Martial Arts, the Main co-host of the Ninja Rob Podcast, and a family man of three. We had a great conversation varying from parenting, to teaching them martial arts at a certain age. We talked about Autism, Solving problems from Martial Arts, and not just for self-defense. Marco shared some valuable insight on creating cool & dope shit which is why I wanted to put that as the name of the episode. We also talked about his podcast of course because I'm always fascinated by the way people work behind the scenes. I hope this episode has given you some value as it has given me value as always.

Value your life, Value your time. 

A training partner shared a few pages from a book he's reading on "The Mastery of self" and I wanted to read it in this episode. It's a great short story that ties in with this episode on our focus and attention. I think I forgot to mention that the fog can mean anything referencing not yourself or a distraction that takes your focus away from your goals and purpose. I share some perspective on how I do my best to maintain my focus and attention on the shit that matters to me.  There's a lot I discuss but if you lack the amount of Focus and attention on things you want to do better in. Hopefully, what I share in this episode allows you to learn and develop your own method to keep your focus and attention on the shit that matters to you. 

I go into more of my lucid dream training, Why yoga is the best thing I believe we can do during this soft quarantine, how I built my habits (this was inspired by a recent episode from Sam Harris involving bad habits vs good habits), I bring up some more of what I see people doing, and all is just interesting to watch as humans continue to show what humans do when they lack mindfulness. At least that's what it seems like to me from my perspective. As I know nothing. 

I go over my current understanding of my different personalities and how meditation with Sam Harris helped me see something different in regards to what I understand about the self, I share a horrifying recent experience involving my child, how I deal with my stress or emotions, and I give some first impressions of a book I'm reading from Sebastian Junger called "Tribe: On homecoming and belonging"

Just a FYI, this episode was recorded on the first week of march before the Covid-19 virus pandemic started to make it's way closer to the states. I'm hoping you all remain chill and follow what experts recommend on this current issue. Speaking of, we briefly talk about current issues with our society, we talk muay thai, we talk mental health and much more.
