It’s somewhat of a rematch between a few Monash Stakes contestants in this week’s Bletchingly Stakes. Winnasedge looks hard to topple as he goes for the Monash-Bletchingly double, but standing in his way is the new blood, the WA star Cosmic Crusader.
A tough winter program awaits punters at Flemington this Saturday which features the Deane Lester Flemington Cup. Stakes races in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth are also up for debate on this week’s podcast.

Ipswich gets its time in the sun on Saturday with the running of their Cup, the Eye Liner for the sprinters and the Gai Waterhouse Classic for the girls named in honour of racing’s first lady. It’s a tricky circuit, but Joel reckons a Kiwi visitor will handle it fine in an undercard race.

A slowly-run Roses at Doomben a fortnight ago adds to the puzzle that is the Queensland Oaks. Maybe punters throw the form guide in the bin and just back Waller? Or maybe just tune into the podcast and find out who the boys are backing.
Two Group 1 races are up for grabs at Eagle Farm on Saturday and they both look pin jobs for punters. Barks and Joel are here to help sort them out.
Can Jenni do it again and run her rivals ragged in another feature ? She hasn’t won back-to-back races since the spring of 2023 (22 starts), so her rivals are confident they can bring her down. The boys assess the big clash plus much more.
