It’s a huge long weekend of racing around Australasia. It’s Super Saturday at Flemington, Randwick Guineas day in Sydney, Champions Day at Ellerslie in NZ, Black Opal and Canberra Cup day on Sunday and Adelaide Cup day on Monday at Morphettville. We’ve got the lot covered!
It’s a triple treat of Group 1 action this Saturday with the Australian Guineas looking a race in two at Flemington and odds-on favourites to go around in the Surround and Verry Elleegant Stakes’ at Randwick.
It’s one of Caulfield’s biggest days with a triple treat of Group 1 action including the Blue Diamond Stakes. Barks and Joel have all the stats that matter and more importantly all of the winners in this week’s mammoth podcast.
This week, it’s the first Aussie Group 1 of 2026 with Tentyris, Giga Kick and co scorching the turf in the Black Caviar Lightning at Flemington. Meanwhile at Randwick the Apollo and the Expressway welcome back Autumn Glow, Ceolwulf, Joliestar, Angel Capital and more.

The juveniles take centre stage on Saturday with the Chairman’s Stakes at Caulfield and the Canonbury and Widden Stakes at Rosehill.

This week, the Magic Millions carnival kicks off on the Gold Coast with a squillion-dollar card led by the $3 million Sunlight for the three-year-old sprinters. It’s Standish Handicap day at Flemington while metro racing goes bush in NSW (for the $500,000 Lakes at Wyong) and SA (to Murray Bridge).
It’s the last chance to grab a spot at the big Magic Millions carnival, with three wildcard races at Eagle Farm plus the Vo Rogue Plate, where they’ll be tuning up for the MM Guineas. Metro racing heads out of town this Saturday in Victoria (for the Coastal Classic and Black Pearl at Geelong), SA (to Gawler) and WA (to Pinjarra), while big fields are again the order of the day at Randwick.
