1. An election here in Wisconsin, with big national implications. Right now, people are voting in the State Supreme Court race. This is the most expensive judicial contest in history, raking in more than $80M. The race is between Brad Schimel, endorsed by the GOP, and Susan Crawford, who is backed by the Democrats. Polls are open until 8 tonight. The other big race across Wisconsin is for the State Superintendent. The incumbent Dr. Jill Underly faces education consultant Brittany Kinser.

2. Today is ‘Liberation Day’, according to President Donald Trump. A new set of tariffs are set to take effect, which he believes will force companies to relocate manufacturing and supply chains to the U.S., creating more jobs. The risk, however, is tumbling stock markets and the alienation of allies.

3. Layoffs have begun at the Department of Health and Human Services, including at the FDA and CDC. Up to 10,000 people are expected to lose their jobs in this round of layoffs, a number that could significantly alter the department's roles and abilities. ABC News has learned that some employees were told they were being immediately placed on administrative leave and losing access to their office starting today. Nearly 10,000 HHS employees have already left the agency in the last few months through buyout offers or early retirements. HHS maintains that the restructuring won't impact "critical services."
