1. The Madison School Board meets tonight on the heels of an allegation that staff members at Whitehorse Middle School were involved in a physical and sexual assault. The School District released a statement late last night, just before 11 PM, saying the matter is being taken very seriously and a team was immediately pulled together to address the situation. The Whitehorse Middle School leadership team, MMSD administration, and the Office of School Safety are working together and following district’s policies and procedures in responding to this matter. The assault allegation has also been reported to law enforcement. The Madison Metropolitan School District is the state's *second* largest school district, behind Milwaukee.
2. Hurricane Melissa is now a monster category 5 storm with winds reaching 160 miles per hour. The hurricane is on a collision course with Jamaica. The storm is expected to bring catastrophic flooding and landslides to Jamaica, Haiti - where three people are already confirmed to have died - the Dominican Republic, and other northern Caribbean Islands. Significant impacts to Florida and the East Coast of the United States are not expected.
3. It's Victory Monday! In a much-anticipated game, Jordan Love vs. Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers secured the win last night, beating the Pittsburgh Steelers.
