One year on from the return of parkrun New Zealand, we hit you with even more returns than a gamer's keyboard! France! Germany! New homes for cancelled parkruns! Poor translations! Rainy ultras and blistered toenails! Plus Laleham junior parkrun and a Good Karen.
Dr D and Dr F bring you another portion of pod panache. Topics such as parkrunology, fish puns, speedy news, the return of parkrun to Northern Ireland, cows and a Mega Karen make up this week's episode.
Why oh why oh why must we say goodbye to Yeovil Montacute parkrun? This week we stare at York parkrun, ring bells, guess flags, talk jandals, mention fish, Seymour Criminals, have fewer stats, talk a load of bullocks and inwardly celebrate (not)parkrun PBs.
It was a super quiet week in parkrunworld so nothing to talk about... apart from the parkrun England (and U.K) return and then subsequent restriction-affected delay. We talk a little about that plus some other things.
It's long, it's enjoyable, its satisfying. Said you-know-who to you-know-who. Danny and Nic are back together and they don't half chat. Ship of Theseus, parkrun permission maps and volunteering matters are just a few of the subjects touched upon. Enjoy!
It's never mind the bloopers this week as Hannah and Mark make sense of parkrun news from around the world. We have all your messages and arbitraries, (not)Elliott's (not)stats, politician bingo, plenty of warm fuzzies from junior parkrun, and no-one mentions the 'U' word.
A review of the week takes centre stage in this week's pod following the parkrun England return date announcement. Nicola enjoys a cacophony of no context comments whilst Stewart reveals the joy of the Abbey Road webcam. Of course, there's all your stats and they touch on the rumours that Nicola won an ultra-marathon - though she doesn't like to talk about it. (Yeah, right)
As the deadline for the announcement of the date of parkrun's return to England grows closer, there is much for Nicola and Stewart to anticipate and discuss. There's emails, audio and arbitraries - all reminding us, that parkrun is so much more than just a run.
This week Nicola is joined by Stewart Harding who has sworn under oath not to swear - will he manage it? They discuss bubbles of various kinds, get seriously musical, Nic Nic has a confession and they try to solve the ongoing debate of how many pow is a pow wow now if a pow wow took place now?
This week, Nicola and Mark discuss the reactions to the comms from parkrun UK regarding the return of parkrun in England. There are lovely emails, positive posts and lots of giggles as Nicola gets dialled in to reciting the longest junior parkrun name, whilst Mark provides the theme music to the stats - not arf!
