To describe Asa Briggs, it would have to be unassuming. His accomplishments do not reflect in his character. He is a quiet guy that doesn’t draw a lot of attention to himself when he is at an event until he turns a hound loose. People, when asked, describe as “always packing a nice dog” or “if he shows up at an event he has a real chance of winning”. 

Houndsman XP host, Chris Powell traveled to north central Michigan and had a chat with Asa about hounds, competition coonhunting, bobcat hunting and hall of fame dogs. Asa shared a bit about his breeding philosophies and preparation for big events.
