For those of you who have no idea WTF is going on with the Balenciaga scandal, I break it down for you in this episode.  Up top I discuss some creep facts about the brand irrespective of the ad campaigns, what specifically about the photos made it so disturbing, Balenciaga’s response, as well as Reddit users’ takes and the multiple conspiracy theories around it.  I also dig into season 2 of White Lotus, and what people on the internet are speculating about what’s to come as we dig closer and closer into the season finale.  Before I discuss Balenciaga and White Lotus, I of course give a bit of a personal update at the beginning of the episode.

This week’s conversation comes with a heavy heart, a little over a week since Aaron Carter’s passing. After over a week to process and understand my feelings after his tragic death, I figured it would be a good time to go over Aaron’s life - the illustrious parts of his career as well as the downfalls. NGL - this episode was really hard to research considering the darkness and trauma that followed Aaron’s career and personal life, not to mention the darkness surrounding Lou Pearlman (the American record producer that was the reason behind the most famous boy bands of our time - N*Sync and Backstreet Boys).  Buckle up and have a glass of wine, because you’ll need it to get through this week!

A handful of you reached out asking for my thoughts and I truly felt SO many emotions after watching that I not only wanted to recap the documentary, but I also wanted to unpack how the documentary brought up a lot of intense emotions for me.

I’m also recording this on the day after learning of Aaron Carter’s passing - and I wanted to unpack that live on audio as quickly as possible. This death was REALLY hard for me and I’ll explain more in the episode.

This week’s episode features Ryan Bailey from so bad it's good.  Guys - Ryan is a pop culture guru and has been in the business for YEARS.  He’s taken acting classes with Armie Hammer (years before the cannibal allegations), he’s been to Tom and Ariana’s house where Tom showed him their dinosaur bone collection (true story), and has all of the inside scoop on everything that went down at Bravo-con: he met Sutton Stracke and Crystal Minkoff (one went great, the other went horribly) and was in the same hotel as many of the cast from RHOBH that he'd rather not engage with (ahem, we're looking at you, Teddi Mellencamp). 

We also discuss the time I went to Sur during Pride in 2018 - and how rude Tom Sandoval and Katie Maloney were. Spoiler alert: Ariana, Tom Schwartz and Stassi were everything of the sort! The nicest of the crew.

We  just ramble on for almost two hours where it feels like you are in the room with us. I’m so excited for you guys to hear this episode.
