Parting is such sweet sorrow, but here we are - the last track of the standard "Moodring" album. On this episode, I express my conflicting feelings on this final song on our grand send off. It's a cover but not a cover....but there are no traces to be found of the additional writers on this song?! I also look back and explore the many moods I've faced on this epic journey with Mýa as my soundtrack. This is an extra long and juicy episode for such a great y2k pop album!

I couldn't help but ramble on about this special song, but it truly is a moment in time! "Whatever Bitch" by Mya is not only a banger, but it was released in an era where being gay was still very much on the underground - yes, even in 2003. It may be hard to believe as so much queer culture is ubiquitous in the world, but songs from big-name-pop stars like this were NOT the norm. Props to Mya for this banger and for showin luv to the gays!

This song is all about love conquering all the ups and downs that occur in a relationship and still staying together even if one party is kind of a jerk. Now...that may not be for everyone, me included, but I'm sure many can relate? I guess? BUT the song is GREAT; this a perfect slice of pop and R&B with Sean Paul sounding amazing with his contribution. So...WHY WASN'T THIS A SINGLE?!! It's the ever present question I keep asking when covering Mya's 2003 album "Moodring".
