AM has recently become obsessed with Riv, in a healthy way. Her performance art is next level! And the fact that sexy, smart messages are wrapped up in Riv's art makes her just the kewlest ever. Sex workers have an unbelievable way of getting the message across, and Riv is no exception, in fact, she's an amazing example.
Vixen Temple, the obsession of Instagram, with her account being twice deleted for hate speech because of her powerful brain. The points she makes is seen as obscene by insecure men but powerful to those of us who see the world from the same lens. Vixen is a ball of energy, a beacon of light and sheds that light on the every day hypocrisies that we are forced to live with. Breath this one in deep.
Talking with Sonia, we got a much needed earful. Our last UK guest gave us some insight on the issues strippers and sex workers are dealing with over there, and Sonia just backed it all up and then some. AM's mind is completely blown when it comes to light that some stripper workers are paying the club for time off. This is too far and Sonia makes the case for why unionizing SWorkers is the way of the future.
Natalie's insights and approach to sex work and life are particularly moving. In this conversation, there was an intersect of motherhood, childhood, gender identity, telepathy, near death experiences, sex work, ancestors and the denouncing of popular American holidays. This one is chock-full of thought provoking subjects.
Host of her own podcast, The Thotful Hoe, Jelicia is a breath of fresh air. Her insight from her upbringing and her innate witchiness is powerful and all seeing. One of many goals, Jelica strives to give the mic to those most marginalized and does all that she can to have their voices amplified. After all, it’s the reason she went to school for journalism, to see more Black, Indigenous and People of Color in the media, controlling the narrative that has for too long been in the hands of white people.
Gemma Rose, a sex worker, an activist and a ball of energy that is tackling issues that are plaguing other sex workers and strippers all over the UK. Her passion for inclusivity shines through her conversation. Gemma is fierce and hungry to make a change in her community for her community members. She’s sexy and yes, scary to any one that is in opposition to her, mainly, the UK government. Can she and her colleagues go up against this monster that is the UK gov? Guess it takes one to defeat one, hence, the Kraken.

Formerly known as "Yes, a Stripper Podcast". Strippers are real people that are capable of amazing things, in and outside of the strip club. On “YAS Podcast” each week with a different guest, our hosts discuss what strippers are up to, what the climate in and outside of the clubs is like and how social classifications can be harmful to marginalized groups. Strippers, sex workers, pole dancers and civilians can learn from stripper and sex worker community members and their allies.
YAS Podcast is a part of YAS Work Network, a network of podcasts about sex workers by sex workers.
