As we enter this new decade, I thought it would be fun to talk to a few friends and reflect back on what life was like 10 years ago. In these conversations, you’ll hear guests speak about what God has done in their life, dreams, goals, things they would have differently, and things they’re most proud of. And, looking back always causes me to look forward, so we’ll also chat about dreams for the next ten years!
Today I’m talking with Liz Forkin Bohannon, the founder of Sseko Designs and author of Beginner’s Pluck. In 2010, Liz was a year into starting Sseko Designs and had been able to fulfill the promise of sending three women to college in Uganda. Liz and her husband were at a crossroads of deciding whether or not to go all in with Sseko Designs or not. Liz describes how they made their decision, sold everything, and lived out of their car to pursue the cause they believed in. I appreciate Liz’ perspective and honesty on the realities of life starting a company and what kept her going. You’ll also hear how those experiences influence her views about the future and things unknown, and what she hopes for in the next ten years.
