#0029 😃Welcome to another episode of Your Purposeful Purpose Podcast😃
On today's show, we take a page out of my book! This is a 5 part series.
Your mind can be the scariest place on the planet. Why is that? Well, your mind is an endless stretch of untapped territory. Every inch of this insane creation has been slowly built and orchestrated by your perspective on reality.
Two people can have the same experience but internalize it differently, one letting the circumstance mold them and the other choosing to remain stagnant. It has become common knowledge that we don't use 100% of our brains at a time. The percentage of our brain we do have access to isn't fully used, or more accurately, we choose not to use it. Imagine your mind as a long hallway with endless doors to the right and left, as far as your eye can see.
These doors never end, because you are continuously creating new ones. Behind each door, there is something different—something that will hurt you, hold you where you are, or build you. Unintended secrets, traumas, emotional triggers, memories, fear, joy, and pride. You name it, and there’s a door for it. We have access to all of these doors, but we have to be willing to walk through them ourselves and come face to face with what's on the other side.
If you’re anything like me, your past has some scary doors. Entering these doorways could mean getting swallowed up by unhealed wounds, or opening the door to unfamiliar territory, the sort of territory I hope you explore throughout these pages. If you take a deep, hard to look at people in your past or present, you can clearly see where they are and the state of their minds. Some people conquer each stage within their doors and come out victorious on the other side. Others are clearly stuck or having trouble as they work their way through.
Take a look at their lifestyle, relationships, habits, and overall well-being. Some of us break free of our past, some bring it with us. Start to become a master of your own environment. Train yourself to have a clear understanding of what's around you all the time. Take time each day to reflect and just be still. You'll soon start to notice why some individuals with a clear path managed to accomplish their goals and yet get mocked and ridiculed by others. They know what’s inside of them, and they remain true to that.
These people let go of most of who they were, and they trade it for who they are now and who they want to become. Others, however, still see only the person they were and not who they are. Successful people are those who managed to reconcile doors in their minds that needed to be closed and then closed them for good. Success doesn't mean that all your doors have been opened.
Opening every door in your mind takes a lifetime, but it’s not impossible. Furthermore, many people walk into certain doors and get stuck in perpetual cycles. The whole door-opening and conquering thing is certainly not an overnight process. Be patient with yourself. I'm here to help open and reconcile the doors in your past to give you a clear path to your future.
