Hey #HEALTHYHUNNIES! In this video we are talking about the EXERCISE PARADOX! There’s a belief that exercise is one of the leading - if not THE leading determinant of our weight. It’s believed that the more you exercise, the more calories you burn, and viola. The more calories you burn, the more weight you lose! Wanna lose weight? Exercise more! It’s that simple! Start going on runs and the fat will melt off of you! Well, it doesn’t work that way. Enter the exercise paradox. The amount of calories we burn in a day isn’t largely determined by how much exercise we do. It’s determined mainly by our height, weight, age, and diet. And exercise is in there too, and it moderately affects our calorie burn - but not by a lot. In order to lose weight, we want to develop a whole foods, plant-based lifestyle based on starches, vegetables, fruits and legumes! You can lose weight WITHOUT exercise! Relying on exercise can actually HURT out weight loss! Watch this video to find out why!
