Thanks to Emily Spaven, a News Editor at Linked In - it has been very easy to bring you some current (at the time of recording) and insightful information about which organisations in the UK are hiring more than 50 people right now. This list is far from exhaustive but it is comprehensive in that it gives examples of roles in sectors from Accounting to Broadcast Media and Defence and Space to Retail. 

There is one sector in there which surprised me and if you do explore the organisations let me know why you think one particular organisation is bucking the trend in relation to similar organisations. 

Furthermore - this podcast mentions further organisations (currently advertising on Guardian Jobs) - including a number that are recruiting for a small number of positions - but it all illustrates that while it may be hibernating in parts, the job market is not dead.
