As a huge fan of the professional network LinkedIn, it is time for us to begin the discussion about why you, as a student en route to employment, should have a presence on the professional network, LinkedIn.
The vision of LinkedIn is to "create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce" (yes - that will include you!) and at the time of recording, there are nearly 740 million people from 200 countries on the platform.
Shouldn't you be there too?!
Whether you haven't joined LinkedIn yet... or whether you are already on there (whoop whoop!) and are ready to hear more about why it's important for you and what else you can be doing... this is the episode for you.
I'm also happy to connect so if you want to flex your newly required LinkedIn muscles and build some connections, you are welcome to reach out. Please note, the only people that doesn't apply to are the secondary aged pupils I currently work with as safeguarding policies mean not connecting on social media - but please know I am cheering you on, encouraging you to use the platform responsibly in some of the ways described in this episode, and some years after you leave school, we should be able to connect.
As always, if you are getting value from this podcast please subscribe, share and leave a review so more students like you can access it and similarly access these episodes, created with them in mind.
Do feel free to engage with this topic (or indeed with me) at any of the below:
