Let's talk about apprenticeships!

This episode of the Dive Into Your Career podcast focuses on apprenticeships in the UK. What is an apprenticeship? How do they work? Who is eligible? Is there a minimum and maximum age? What is better... a degree or apprenticeship? (Spoiler alert: One of the most exciting apprenticeship options combines the two!) 

Apprenticeships are a job. Real world experience which involve 80% employment and 20% training. With opportunities in sectors from accountancy to nursing and digital media to sport - and the types of opportunities increasing (there is now a space engineering opportunity!), there has never been a better time to explore this as an option. 

Amazon, Virgin Media, Google, BT, Sky, the NHS, Schroders, Mediacom and just some of the well-known companies who are recruiting apprentices and more organisations in additional job areas are getting involved (even though some sectors may be paused due to the pandemic, if you're listening to this in real time).
