Today we're looking at the phrase you hear a lot in spiritual circles - You create your own reality.
This is a really interesting one, because it all depends on what that “you” is. How we understand that “you” will determine whether this phrase sends us into complete confusion, more frustration, more insanity, more stress, or whether it's a portal to sanity and to a deep understanding of what is going on within the mind.
In this episode we are going to explore the two you’s that this phrase could be referring to, and why I’ve decided that I wouldn’t ever say it to someone.
What is Covered:
-Why believing that that we create our own reality can send us into more self-blame and shame
-The false belief that we can somehow change our inner state so that our reality changes
-What is that you? What is reality? What is the relationship between the two?
-Why the phrase “you don’t exist” or “nothing really exists” sounds false
-The shift from an identified mind to an inquiring mind
-Why we need to constantly explore what the “you” really is
