Last week, we looked at one horrible question to ask ourselves in the midst of resentment: What is my equivalent? This week we're looking at an even more horrible question: What is the benefit?
It is a horrible question because on the surface, it has the potential to be really dangerous. We need to understand its full power when we are in situations where there’s resentment towards someone or something. Is it possible that we might be benefiting directly from that situation? So in this episode, we’re going to explore why exactly this is a dangerous question, and how we can start using it as a tool for liberating our superpowered mind.
What is Covered:
-The surface level and the deeper level of benefiting from resentment
-Why resentment is an ego stabilising space
-The possible hidden benefits of staying in situations of resentment
-How to acknowledge choices that are being made in our present situation
-Transitioning from hidden choices and unachievable wants to conscious and achievable ones
-Why we should pose the question “What is the benefit?” only to ourselves
