Today we're looking at the driver to be seen. Everybody wants to be seen, to be heard, to be acknowledged. It provides the temporary feeling of validity, worth, and survival even. And that makes sense when looked at from the belief system of what we are as a separate entity, that can somehow find wholeness through attention and love, regard and respect. In the midst of this tremendous drive to be seen, we use elements at our disposal, such as our work, our body, our looks or our help and support of other people.
In this episode we are going to explore the difference between being seen and seeing, and how between the two lies a freedom that sets free all of these elements that would be used in the attempt to solidify the identity, and instead just become what they are.
What is Covered:
-Philosophical aspects of being seen vs. seeing
-What is the “I” that wants to be seen?
-The relationship between individual and infinite consciousness
-How consciousness operates through our body-mind form
-Analysis of Descartes’ “cogito ergo sum”
-How the understanding of what we are sets free our relationships
