Mishara is an adventure therapist, social health advocate & the owner of To Indy, With Love : Adventures in Social & Emotional Health. Through speaking, therapy and local / global public experiences, she supports the audacity of play, vulnerability & joy in the midst of chronic trauma, especially for people of color, LGBTQIA+ folk and people of diverse spiritual practice in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Mishara has redefined what it means to be an adventure therapist in the Midwest. She shares with Sarah her experience as a Black woman navigating the standards for professionalism (whiteness) in the field of social work and how she uses the power of choice to care for herself.
