高考的英语你知道是什么吗？90%的人都说错了。

6月应该叫高考月，每年到了6月，高考前有中学誓师送别的新闻；高考中有粗心大意的人忘记带准考证的新闻；高考后就是各地状元新闻报道，长得好看的状元，格外能吸引新闻的目光……

吉米老师在这里预祝各位考生金榜题名、高中状元、群雄逐鹿、一鸣惊人。

高考的全名是普通高等学校招生全国统一考试，英文 National College Entrance Examination .

但最近，随着中国国际地位的提高，高考的英文名 Gaokao 已经被收录进牛津字典中，所以下次说高考的英语时，可以直接用 Gaokao 代替了。

例句：

There is no doubt that every high school student wishes to be successful in Gaokao.

毫无疑问，每个高中生都希望在高考中取得成功。

自主招生  

independent recruitment of students test

自主招生是指考生通过高考自主招生笔试和面试之后，可以享受相应的高考降分政策。著名的主持人撒贝宁就是通过自主招生进入了北大。

例句：
Sa Beining attended the independent recruitment of students test of Peking University. 

撒贝宁参加了北京大学的自主招生考试。

艺考  art exam

例句：

I passed the art exam and got the admission of TianJin University Of Technology.

我通过艺考考上了天津理工大学。

文科  liberal arts [ˌlɪbərəl ˈɑːts] 

理科  science 

高考除了语数外三门主课之外，还有一本综合考试，总分300分，计时150分钟。

文综的英文表达是：Comprehensive liberal arts test，

理综的英文表达是：Comprehensive science test。

例句：

许多学生还没有决定是学文科还是理科。

985、211 ：Project 211 , Project 985

985 是指：1998年5月4日，时任主席在庆祝北京大学建校100周年大会上宣告：“为了实现现代化，我国要有若干所具有世界先进水平的一流大学。”

211 即面向 21 世纪、重点建设 100 所左右的高等学校和一批重点学科的建设工程。
