Rick Zarate is an environmental scientist and project manager at Freese and Nichols, Inc. Rick works with private and municipal clients across Texas to deliver environmental studies and permitting for complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects. Once Rick began to connect the dots between his feelings of worry and his own state of mind, things began to look very different. Decision-making in business no longer felt as “high stakes” and stress-inducing, knowing he could step back and rely on clarity of mind to step in. Rick shares how he has seen the impact of this understanding in both his profession and as a parent.
