Emani Gabrielle Moss was born on April 23rd, 2003. Her life was rocky from the start.

In 2009 her father married a woman named Tiffany. Things went from bad to worse.

Multiple calls were made to the Department of Families and Children in Gwinnett County, Georgia and Tiffany Moss eventually pled guilty to child cruelty and Emani was removed from her father’s care.

Six months later DFCS reunified the family. That reunification would spark a string of events that ended in the 10-year-old’s brutal murder.
