Jessyka is from California, USA, and was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 22. Since then, Jess has gotten married and celebrated the recent birth of her son, Walker.

Jess outlines the struggles that she had to face during her pregnancy while living with Type 1 Diabetes, and highlights how pregnancy is never an easy process, but like most things, Type 1 Diabetes adds an additional layer of complication.

Jessyka takes us through how she prepared for pregnancy, how her body and blood sugar responded to the various stages of her pregnancy, what she did to ensure she kept her bloods in a healthy range throughout, advice for other mothers out there, and the remarkable and inspiring story behind the birth of her son, Walker.
