In this week’s episode Eoin chats with Alex Burket (@alexburket23).
Alex is from the USA, is the host of the ‘Rise to the Challenge Podcast’ ( Rise to the Challenge Podcast ), and has been living with Type 1 Diabetes since the age of 10.
Admittedly Alex wasn’t always ‘the best Diabetic’ and went through a number of difficult and ‘rebellious’ years with his management.
It was almost overnight that Alex decided to make significant changes to his management of his Diabetes. He began training consistently, eating different types of foods, paying more attention to his bloods, and completely avoiding fast food that he knew made things more complicated to manage.
Alex talks us through how he ‘rises to his own challenges’, and also outlines how the guests he’s interviewed have risen to their own - whatever that challenge may be.
You’re going to finish this episode feeling inspired to make a lasting change.
As always, be sure to rate, comment, subscribe and share. Your interaction and feedback really helps the podcast. The more Diabetics that we reach, the bigger impact we can make!
