In this week’s episode Eoin chats with Martin Santise (@martinsantise).

Martin was diagnosed with T1D at the age of 22, and admittedly found it extremely difficult to initially cope with the diagnosis. He found himself in a ‘very dark place’ for the first 6 months of his Diabetic life and thought his ‘normal’ life was completely over.

Following a very tough and honest conversation that Martin had with himself, he flipped his perspective around, worked on his mental and physical health with Diabetes, and has since become a coach and advocate for other T1Ds all around the world.

Martin’s insight, experience and perspective on life with T1D are incredibly valuable, and we know you will take some gold from hearing his story.
