Sami lives in Southern California, USA and was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 12.
Sami recently graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, and is now receiving her Masters degree in Exercise Physiology from Concordia University Chicago.
She is a dance teacher and the co-host of the “Just My Type Podcast”, which aims to bridge the Diabetes community, by being relatable through talking about the human experience, not just the diagnosis.
Throughout this episode Sami shares her experience, insight and opinion on how she stays confident with her Diabetes, how she navigates through Diabetes burnout, how she copes with emotional stresses and much, much more.
