On June 20th, 2018 Heather Barron called 911 to report that her 10-year-old was unresponsive and not breathing. 

Heather Barron and her boyfriend Kareem Leiva were both charged with murder. 

Many felt Los Ángeles Department of Children and Family Services also had responsibility for the multiple failures that led to Anthony’s death.

As Anthony’s case made it through the courts another child, 4-year-old Noah Cuatro, died while his family was under the supervision of Los Ángeles DCFS.
