Lots of volatility in the markets last week, as expected; we're still on a short-term sell signal. Volatility is expected to continue this week, at least until the Fed's announcement on Wednesday afternoon. Oil prices continue to struggle on a longer-term basis. A recent uptick in inflation data has been a function, in part, of higher oil prices. But oil prices are over-bought, and they're not expected prices to push much higher. Oil prices, in fact, are a function of the economy, and if the economy slows, pricing will slip downward. The longer-term trend for oil prices is lower. Gold prices have been working through a correction but continue to be in a bullish pricing trend. The Dollar continues to be a rocket ship because the US is the only country with a positive economy.
