Jessica started a daily Ashtanga Yoga practice in 1994 while studying as an Exchange Student at the University of Adelaide in Australia. In 2004, she moved to Encinitas with her family and studied with Tim Miller.
Over the last 14 years she has made several trips to Mysore, India, to study with Guruji, Sharath and Saraswati and has been granted a Teaching Authorization Certificate from the KPJAYI in Mysore.
Because of her other career and parenting commitments, she teaches yoga selectively and for limited periods of time, including short workshops and private instruction.
She is a nature-loving, yoga-doing, mother of two who loves travel and adventure, positive people, music, dancing, reading, and the simple pleasures in life.
She’s an advocate of organic agriculture and has 19 years’ experience in organic certification.
Four years ago, Jessica suffered a major spinal injury. While initially this caused a lot of fear and pain, it actually ended up bringing more joy to her practice, to her teaching, and to her life.
