Many of us are drawn to drama, connect through gossip, repeatedly tell tragic stories, mistake trauma bonding for chemistry and expect a catastrophe at any moment.
Ever wonder why?
Is this you and you're curious if you can change?
This used to be Jill.
Here's what she learned and how these behaviors are in her past.
Jill is a certified trauma informed life coach with training in somatics. When she experienced the absence of chaos (everything she prayed for) and for the first time no longer had a desire to convert that void to pain and drama, she knew the somatic work she had done with her coaches "worked". Two years of releasing and transmuting stuck and hidden trauma brought an entirely new way of living.
For her entire life she had no idea that her pattern of thriving on adrenaline, drama, conflict and chaos was a result of events in her early childhood and teen years. She had no idea that although she was so positive, driven, outgoing and kind-hearted she was coming across as dramatic, stressed, a gossip, and seeking chaos.
In this episode, Jill explains where the patterns, behaviors, and stories come from in people who seek and prefer drama and chaos. She shares her journey from hypervigilance and catastrophizing to peace and groundedness and invites the listener to get curious about their own.
