As the search for 11-year-old Madalina Cojocari continued, her mother, Diana Cojocari, and stepfather, Christopher Palmiter faced charges for failing to report the little girl missing. 

At trial, Palmiter took the stand in his own defense. 

And his testimony revealed that things behind the closed doors of 18413 Victoria Bay Drive were far from normal.
