#189: Health Tips for Enneagram Type Five

Enneagram type five, you value understanding. Your a deep thinker and value time spent processing the world around you. You thrive on self-sufficiency, independence, and alone time - collecting thoughts, ideas, knowledge, silence, and space. You pour your soul and energy into your thoughts.

As a five, you build your identity in your mind. Working to find stability and security in life through collecting or hoarding what it is that you think will keep you secure. In this, you generally live a minimalistic life, with relatively few needs and the stamina to provide for yourself. You are often suppressing your deep emotions, stirring them over in your mind for days before you’re able to articulate them.

But as you work to get healthy, you’ll learn how to feel the emotion when it comes and then let it go. Through this, you’ll develop courage outside of collecting knowledge, allowing you to take action and trust your gut. In health, you’ll be able to connect with your body and recognize that you, too, are a human, and your needs are valid.
