190. The Importance of Men’s Work and Men’s Groups

Listen Later

In this episode I have a conversation with Thomas Doochin. Thomas is a men's work Facilitator, a farmer, and a storyteller. He lives with his family in the mountains surrounding Asheville, NC. Thomas is a believer in Life and human's innate capacity to bring forth more Beauty. For 9 years, Thomas led Daymaker, a social impact startup that grew to serving kids in over 30 states. He is also my neighbor and dear friend.

Thomas and I have a very heartfelt conversation of the deep challenges and deep joys of men opening their hearts to one another This is the healing work so many men are incredibly fearful of but so many also are having the courage to do. Having a container like a men’s group, a circle of brotherhood allows for this risk -taking courage to be experienced In it’s richness of transformation.

“And in my view, the whole planet suffers for every person that is stuck inside a charade that isn’t who they really are.”

-Thomas Doochin
